The Union of Municipalities Val Simeto Etna is an association of municipalities formed by 4 cities: Adrano, Biancavilla, Centuripe, and Santa Maria di Licodia. We are settled in Sicily close to the city of Catania, under the Etna Volcano, in the Simeto Valley that is an area crossed by the Simeto river — the most important river in Sicily. It’s a special area with peculiar hydrogeographical characteristics. The hydrographic basin of the Simeto river is the largest of the river basins in Sicily.
